Here is the work that I have done on my painting in the last 2 days.  I think I have done another 6 to 8 hours of work total.  She's coming along!

ai..that's why you were in so much pain. Good thing you weren't the first your suergeon saw with this.

You will be ok , ( i have a feeling you are determined to be ok..) even if it may take a while. Agree with Antonin, this will give you time to think about your painting.  Hoping you don't have to worry about your kids.

Be well. x

I appreciate you took time ( how did you type?)  to update us , but god it hurts all the way here ;-(  > I know you're a strong woman ( I can see it in your art ,too BTW ) and your scientific description of what they did is going to fade away .. as well as in your current thought ... rest well ,now you have a time to think about the direction of your

Madonna of the Dispossessed

and that will help you to cure ,too! ...I'm thinking who is going to help with your children? ...

Be well Mary

An update on my wrist: The surgeon found that the cartilage was completely ripped off of the bone. He had to make two large incisions on both sides of my wrist, drill through the radius and then stitch the cartilage back onto the bone. I guess iam only the third person he has ever seen with that particular tear. I am still very swollen, but doing well. I wel be casted for another three to four weeks.

Don't tell me you cannot manipulate your camera ..this picture is awesome with your proper  tools and encaustic paint ... what a progress you've made since I was here last night or so... you're really up to this painting and I strongly feel your energy in it I'm quiet ..

I was expecting just a little progress but instead you make a big leap and it feels like a garden that has just been watered. It's looking great Mary.

This is lovely Mary, she will look amazing when finished.

All i can say is that she looks amazing Mary. I love the energy you gave her, there's a certain softness which is very appealing.  If she was a real person she would be the kind of woman you would want to be with. If that makes sense to you.

Sorry to read you have to go to hospital; wishing you the best with that ( a quick recovery) and also with your move across the country.
