First I'd like to show you my digital sketch, a photo-montage, for my next painting. I'll paint the background again with airbrush-watercolor and the butterflies with wax. It will be a huge size: 30x30", on an Ampersand board.
I'll show you here the step by step developments, but now I'm waiting for the board, that I ordered online...just couldn't wait
to share the sketch with you...:) Mari

What dedication Mari. Your journey was indeed a deep and intense meditation for peace. Just watching this unfold over these many weeks has touched that meditation into my life too and I am happy to have shared a little glimpse of your immense focus. It looks amazing!

Thank you for posting these last photos also.. the background looked lovely without the dandelion seeds but being able to see the difference shows that the seeds do give something extra.

Almost unbelievable to think this is painted..those butterflies look so real. Outcome is much better then the first photo you showed us for your idea..

in a way just like finishing a good book, it's sad you are ready.. lol.. xx

Thank you, my dear Jeanne! I miss your works...:)
so I got now for the final round: I'll upload in chronology the final steps, but I have to tell you: I'M DONE!
So have some patience with me, here they come:
I declared to be finished the encaustic part and here is the result: Landscape, after battle:
after I removed the cover of the background, I realized how much I still miss, so I had to cover the moddle part again and work on the background with airbrush again:
and after one day, here is the final FRAGILE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm happy AND very tired! Already wired and sealed all over.
and here are some final close-ups:

just remember that it is the journey which matters..not the end of it.. ;)

and your journey has been beautifull so far, so gather all  your patience, take a break when it is too hot and enjoy each step that you still have to take.

I know this piece will touch many hearts when it's finished, the energy you have put in is beautifull and it is felt even when not completely finished.  Enjoy the ride Mari. x
