Continue

Сегодня опубликовала картину "Затерянный мир" и она отобразилась почему-то маленькая, хотя до этого отправляла картины того же формата А4 и было все нормально. Интересно почему так вышло. Можно ли повторить еще раз ту же картину?Continue

I had a great day today doing an encaustic workshop with Ruth Wignall from ITV Wales Coast and Country Programme. The programme to be aired in April. I will keep you posted. It was great to be able to share a brief insight into the world of encaustic. I think Ruth has got the bug now too!

We live in an age where stores are heaving difficulties to keep going and in many places we find empty buildings because of it. In our community two women decided to start Pop Up Galeries to bring these empty spaces more into view.
Two editions are completed and one building is sold. I was asked to…Continue

I attended an Advent Fair and had a little Encaustic stall, displaying pictures and greeting cards.
I enjoyed the event and was surprised, how many people wanted to here about the 'Encaustic's' and want to take it up again, having seen what one can do with wax. I am pleased to say, I have sold some pictures and cards and the 'Mosaic' and the 'Autumn' will hang now in some one else's home.
Here is my question: Why do pictures appear on the Welcome/Activity page again when I save them in my albums. Please could someone tell me why?.
I have created by mistake an album called 'Autumn', which I don't want. Can I delete it, or would I delete also the posted 'Autumn' picture?.
Every time I want to save a picture in one of my albums it appears also in 'My Page' where new pictures are posted. What do I do wrong and how can I prevent it happening again, please help!!!
Hi, I am very interested in creating wax paintings on perspex I wondered
if anyone has worked on this and if so could give me some info on it
ie. ( when framing I know you place the painting with the wax side
facing into the frame will this cause a greenhouse effect and cause problems with the painting. Also is it safe to apply the wax with the
iron and stylus. If someone could tell me the basic do and donts I
would really appreciate it.
What does it mean, "Give a Gift" and " Get a Badge", please let me know. Thanks !
Yesterday I came back from a 2 week Holiday in Sicily, which is a fantastic Island. I got a lot of inspiration for Encaustics, especially the fire eruptions of the Volcano 'Etna' and it's different coloured lava. I can't wait to put it onto paper, 'watch this space'.

I am back in the Encaustic world and had my first little picture and card sale at a local Summer Fayre.
Visitors were very interested to know about Encaustics and I enjoyed myself talking about it. I learned a lot on that day, could cover the costs of the day and with a little profit on top. The best thing is, that the organisers asked me to come back for the Christmas Bazar, which is very encauraging.
